University Student Plan
End-to-end launch
Directed the plan's launch for students across multiple Libyan universities. It is a particularly meaningful example of the connection between my professional work and my own experience as a student.
“A career does not have to follow a straight line to move with purpose.”
International student, telecommunications professional, and Global Shaper. My journey began in Lebanon and continues today through a double-degree experience between Italy and Germany, while remaining closely connected to Libya and its future.

I am Ahmed Dribika, from Libya. My international journey began in Lebanon, where I studied Business Administration and Management at Beirut Arab University and presented a television programme about gaming, technology, and consumer gadgets. That chapter became an important part of how I understand life across cultures and the value of being willing to begin again.
My career has moved across media, esports, public relations, marketing, and telecommunications, often through overlapping chapters. I have worked with gaming communities, served on the board of the Libyan E-Sports Federation, and undertaken public relations and marketing work with political parties. The settings changed, but the work repeatedly brought me back to people: understanding an audience, building relationships, and making ideas clear enough to act on.
At Libyana, my experience has grown from digital services and value-added services into institutional support and B2B. Across nearly six years in this field, I have worked on product lifecycles, commercial partnerships, pricing, technical integration, and bringing services to market. Today, my work centres on understanding the needs of public and private institutions and translating those needs into relevant offerings.
I am now pursuing a double degree while living between Italy and Germany: Global Entrepreneurship and International Business at the University of Insubria, and Economics of Innovation at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. I bring practical questions from my work into my studies, and I want to bring better-informed thinking back into practice. For me, studying abroad is not a departure from my purpose; it is another way of preparing to contribute.
I am a Global Shaper in the Tripoli Hub of the Global Shapers Community. This connection sits alongside a personal ambition that runs through my work and studies: to play a constructive part in addressing the economic and political challenges facing Libya.
I do not see those challenges as questions with simple answers. I want to understand how institutions, markets, technology, and public communication interact—and contribute through informed dialogue, practical initiatives, and collaboration. My aim is to make the knowledge I gain internationally relevant to the realities people face at home.
Roles across communication, communities, and connectivity. Some chapters ran alongside one another, and each added a different perspective.

I am interested in the relationship between digital services, entrepreneurship, and economic development—and in what allows a promising idea to become useful beyond its initial concept.
My interests extend to Libya's economic and political challenges, the role of public communication, and the contribution that informed dialogue and practical collaboration can make.
